WDW - Thursday September 3rd, 2015: Sick day, Grampa & Austin at Epcot

So I've been congested since my first morning here and Tuesday night it turned into a full blown, disgusting and very frustrating and painful illness. I had severe sinus congestion and coughed all night and woke up to a pounding headache. I couldn't do anything this morning so I ordered some cold medicine from a drug store that delivers and went back to bed until 2pm.

Ken and Austin went to Epcot and did a bunch of rides I guess. I'm still to sick to be jealous. I didn't want to miss out on my favorite restaurant, La Hacienda, so I got high on sudafed and drug myself there for dinner at 7pm but I didn't eat much. I cant taste anything which is a huge bummer. We came back right after dinner to watch the Chip and Dale show but we missed it. We watched the first few minutes of Maleficant and then came home so I could (blog and) go to bed.

Rain factor: none that I seen after 5pm.

Here's some pics of the parade we went to the next day

WDW - Wednesday September 2nd, 2015 - Epcot, Fort Wilderness Pool, Le Cellier

We slept in and didn't get out the door until about 10:00.

EPCOT

Our 1st attraction was Journey Into Imagination with Figment which Austin has been begging for since we got here. Its an adorable ride and a good learning experience too. Read more about it on the wiki page.
Figment

After Figment, Austin screwed around in the Imagination lab for awhile and then I met Aurora and then we went to my new favorite bakery; Les Halles Boulangerie-PatisserieWe had a delicious Tartine Aux Fromages and 3 different desserts; Creme Brule, Chocolate Mousse, and a Strawberry Parfait.

After our snacks, we headed back to Fort Wilderness for some pool time. Austin won a game of musical stars at the pool and we had a fun 90 minutes before going back to the cabin and getting ready for dinner. Then it was back to Epcot for a quick ride on Mission Earth and then Le Cellier for some steaks. I had a NY Strip with risotto and Ken had the Filet with a baked potato. Austin didn't want a steak (what?) so he got some weird kind of french fry appetizer thing.

Attraction Count:

  • Journey Into Imagination with Figment
  • Imagination lab
  • Aurora
  • Mission Earth

Rain Factor: None, yep really.

WDW - Monday August 31, 2015: Magic Kingdom & Epcot

A Day For Gramma and a Day for Grampa and Austin

Today was a different kind of day. Grampa wanted to go to Kennedy Space Center but I didn't so he and Austin went and I went to MK by myself. I mostly did meet and greets like;

Cinderella

Rapunzel

Elsa

Anna

WDW - Tuesday September 2nd 2015: MK & Grand Floridian

Tuesday September 1st, 2015

MAGIC KINGDOM

Grampa dropped us off at MK and we headed straight to Casey's for chili dogs and fries then we headed to a meet and greet with Tinkerbell.

The Tinkerbelle attraction exited out to a cute shop on Main Street Town Square where custom embroidery was being done on hats. I tried to get a Cinderella hat with Princess Robin on it but for the 3rd day, my Magic Band didn't work for purchases. She told me I could pick it up later but I forgot to go back.

We rode on some rides, had some caramel corn and got wet in Storybook Circus and took the ferry back to the Fort. Grampa picked up Austin in the golf cart and I led the way on the scooter. I got a 'ticket' from the ranger who said I needed to drive my ECV on the sidewalk because it was to slow for the rode.

Attraction count:

  • Tinkerbell
  • Great Goofini
  • Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
  • Train around the park
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

FORT WILDERNESS

Tooling around on the golf cart is one of our favorite resort things and we love going to the Trading Post. The pop machines were down at Meadows and I spent half an hour at the front desk again trying to resolve the charging issue and they guaranteed us (for the 3rd time) that it would be resolved today.

1900 PARK FARE-GRAND FLORIDIAN

We drove to the Grand Floridian resort for dinner at 1900 Park Fare. It was a buffet but maybe the best one Ive ever had. I couldn't stop eating the salmon and the bread pudding.

Surprisingly, this was a character meal and I didn't know so I was completely unprepared. We were greeted by the Tremaines and Cinderella & Prince Charming and I managed to get some pics from my phone but they aren't very good.
